COMPANION DOG SHOW

 

(Held under KC Rules and Regulations)

 

SATURDAY, 9th JUNE, 2012

 

Verwood Recreation Ground / Memorial Hall Ringwood Road, Verwood, Dorset. BH31 7AQ 

Large Free Public Car Park Opposite Venue.

Please bring your own seats for recreation ground. In the Memorial Hall if wet weather

 

TOMBOLA and REFRESHMENTS

 

Entries  from 10:30 a.m.
Judging -  Pedigree Classes 12 Noon
Crossbreed / Novelties 02:00 p.m. approx

Dogs need not be registered with the Kennel Club.

All dogs entered at owners risk. The promoters accept no responsibility. 

No bitches in season. 

All dogs to be kept on leads at all times.

No dogs under 6 months old can be entered.

Only undocked & legally docked dogs may be entered for exhibition at this show.

Please clean up after your dogs and yourselves.

 

Entry Fee £1.50 First Entry, subsequent entries £1.00 per dog.

Dogs having won a CC / RCC or JW are not eligible for these classes.

17.         The Dog the Judge Would Most Like to Take Home

18.     Any Dog Not Having Won a First Prize Today.

Report of the Verwood Twinning Associations Companion Dog Show
held in May 2011

T

 Various Stalls including Tombola offered further entertainment and refreshments were served continuously throughout the day by the Committee Members.

 116 dogs were exhibited, making up a total of 263 entries. There were 6 Pedigree Classes judged by Mrs. Jenny Livy. Best in Sow was a Hungarian Vizsla owned by Mrs.Denise Cummins of Blandford, Reserve Best in Show was a Border Collie owned by Mr. & Mrs.Scott of Winton, and Best Puppy in show was a Tibetan Spaniel owned by Mrs.Pauline Bovis of Broadstones. This was followed by 2 Crossbreed and 10 Novelty Classes judged by Mr.Alan Watkinson. Best Crossbreed was a Lurcher owned by Mrs.H.Boutell of Eastleigh.

 The Show was well attended, exhibitors and visitors enjoying sunshine in pleasant surroundings.
