The Quality Parish and Town Council Scheme is a government initiative for all parish and town councils in England. The accreditation process is conducted by the County Accreditation Panel on behalf of her Majesty's Government, and co-ordinated with the support of the National Association of Local Councils.
The High Sheriff of Dorset presented the certificate (shown below) to the mayor at the Christmas Extravaganza on the 15th of December 2007. The picture on the right the High Sheriff and the Town Clerk (Val Bright) flanked by the Mayor and Mayoress, Alec and Leslie Nichols.
