This walk, initially
written and published by Pam Reeks was later
extended and re-published by the Historical Society (which has now
closed). It has been updated by the webmaster of

Verwood Town Centre Trail |
- approx 1 miles (1 to 1.5 hours).
- This short walk takes in several important sites around
the former village centre, showing stages in the town’s development.
As many of the buildings have been demolished, the 19 illustrations
show what stood there in former times. |

These walks consist of a series of circular walks
around Verwood. Verwood and District Ramblers to mark their 50th
Anniversary and have been produced in association with Dorset
Council. Printed copies can be obtained from
Verwood Town Hall, Verwood Library
and the Heathland Heritage Centre. Copies can
also be downloaded from the Dorset Council Website - please follow
