Verwood Short Mat Bowling Club, formed in 2002, can be found at the Youth Centre on the Emmanuel School Campus in Howe Lane, Verwood.
Short Mat bowls is a scaled down version of the indoor bowling that is seen on television and is played like other forms of the sport with full sized bowls being used in this case to bowl up and down a specially designed short mat for bowls. The sport appears to be slow but actually involves a lot of exercise.
