Besoms and Baskets – if we could fly.
Mike O’Leary told stories of the old woman tossed up
in a basket
– ninety-nine times as high as the moon; we
can all fly in a story!
The
day consisted of three separate events for
juniors, families and adults.
With
tales and stories based on Verwood’s history and

the Hagstone Storyteller, with his story
box, visited the Verwood Heathland Heritage Centre on
Friday the 25th of August 2006, to present "Tales at the Pottery" as part of the "Sting
in the Tale" festival
of Stories. Michael is supported by Southern Arts and he
loves traditional stories stretching from the past to the
future. The event was extremely successful and in the
evening adult session he told tales to a full house.
The "Sting in the Tale" (SITT) is an East Dorset Community Event
